Novatron Fusion Group welcomed US Department of State’s Science Envoy, the eminent Professor Prineha Narang, from UCLA Physical Sciences, for a guided tour of its Fusion Lab at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Professor Prineha Narang visited as part of a multi-step Nordic and Netherlands trip.

Fusion technology has the potential to unlock an unprecedented source of green, safe and virtually limitless energy — affordable and accessible to all. It is becoming an increasingly important field of international cooperation, with the US and Sweden hosting some of the world’s leading initiatives.

Speaking after the visit Professor Narang said: “Spectacular few days in Stockholm, Sweden, engaging with colleagues in the policy, academia, startup and investment ecosystem. Thank you Magnus Härviden Ebba Carbonnier Binette Seck Katia Gallo Karolinska Institutet KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Novatron Fusion Group AB for pulling this together and many many more people for making time for these conversations. Look forward to seeing more US-Sweden cooperation.”

The visit comes just weeks after Novatron Fusion Group joined Independence Day celebrations at the US Embassy in Sweden, where ambassador Erik Ramanathan emphasized the importance of US-Sweden collaborations highlighting fusion energy’s potential in the future energy transition.

Engineers at Novatron Fusion Group recently completed a complex multi-system integration project to create plasma via an experimental test rig, raising ambitions for the Nordics’ fusion energy sector. The NOVATRON technology is the world’s only stable mirror-machine concept, offering a unique approach to plasma confinement.

Now in its second year, Novatron Fusion Group is rapidly advancing construction work on its first official test facility – the Novatron 1 (N1) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Novatron Fusion Group is a member of US non-profit membership organization, the Fusion Industry Association (FIA).
